Campaign to Support Kyle and Oliver of "One Life To Live"
I want the powers that be at ABC daytime, executive producer Frank Valentini, head writer Ron Carlivati, and ABC daytime president Brian Frons to fully reconsider their decision to fire Brett Claywell and Scott Evans from "One Life To Live". They are very talented and wonderful actors who may possibly be both nominated for daytime emmys in a couple of months, and dropping them off the canvas after the historic "Kish" storyline, and that both of them are about to be gay parents is a slap to the face to the fans of this memorable supercouple, and the gay community! If you ever change your minds about this horrible mistake, give these actors full-term contracts to your show so that they'll continue to tell their story for years to come! If you don't hire them back, you will lose lots of dedicated viewers and fans to your groundbreaking show full of diversity, and a cast of wonderful characters and talented actors!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat in the hell are you thinking. Don't do this, keep the KISH!And while you're at it keep Schyler too.
ReplyDeleteSounds like One Life To Live has the As The World Turns virus. Why start something and not finish it?
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to believe that this one storyine is responsible for the claim that viewership is down. It's great to have real gay characters- with all their challenges.
To ABC/OLTL
ReplyDeleteThere are many characters on OLTL and to solely blame Kish for the low ratings and to say that the "mainstream" viewers don't like them is quite frankly a cop-out.
Scott Evans and Brett Claywell do a wonderful job of portaying Oliver and Kyle and their story has been truly groundbreaking for daytime TV.
Kish are loved by many people and have a huge international following. Look on youtube & feedback boards & see for yourself. Losing Kish will result in losing a lot of viewers of OLTL.
Dear friends,
ReplyDeleteI'd like to tell you that the story about Kyle and Oliver has been saved my life. I've been involved into a relationship whose inspiration to save it was due to the motivation given by the characters. That's not only a story to entertain people, but a tool to help many people to get over and save many life.
I'd like to tell you that the story about Kyle and Oliver i have been watch it on youtube
ReplyDeleteit as been a good story line
i live in the uk it nice too watch a gay drama we do not get any thing like this on uk tv please let it stay on
I watch kish everyday, is the only reason I fallow the Soup. Now with Luke and Noah going soon ... I was happy to have a gay couple on tv ... that you could fallow everyday.. No more OLTL for me. PLease don't take them away.... and the only reason people didn't watch it was not Kish, it was the bad Dorian lesbian storyline ... now that was awful! over kill!
ReplyDeleteI stopped watching OLTL for many years, and when the KISH story started I was a fan again.
ReplyDeleteThe writers and the producers are crazy for cancelling KISH, and one of them is gay in real life. What the hell are they thinking. I am a straight female and I live in Canada. I watch OLTL before I go to work everyday. What am I suppose to do in that time, because when KISH goes I go!!!!! By next year OLTL will be cancelled and they will only have themselves to blame, because their rating will plummet once KISH is off the air!!!!!!
KEEP THEM ON! They are AWESOME! I will be so disappointed if they leave the show.
ReplyDeleteThey are the best couple on Daytime. I will be very disappointed if they left. Think about it, how many daytime shows have a gay couple raising a baby that is a great storyline.
ReplyDeleteKeep'em, don't lose'em
ReplyDeleteI for one dont see why ABC would get rid of such a great, ground breaking, with the times - story line!!! The actors are superb, and the story line has many places it can go. We have homosexuality in night time soaps, be it men or women, they are a part of our human society, and accepted by many. They are mainstream, and need to be saved from being "taken off the show" do to reasons not believable. Shame on you ABC.
ReplyDeleteThis is a 30 + year fan and i have to say that LLanview has always been a place for many different social ways of life. I really enjoy Fish and Kyle, Get that aweful boring Layla off of there!!!
